A. LANGE & SÖHNE ZEITWERK

Introduced in 2009, the A. LANGE & SÖHNE ZEITWERK is an exceptional way of showcasing the capabilities of modern watchmaking. The timepiece is a mechanical digital watch showing the time with jumping numerals.

For the numerals to advance, the ZEITWERK uses three discs. A patented mainspring barrel provides an impulse that puts the discs in motion and makes them ‘jump’.

It all started with the pocket watch

Using a digital indication to tell the time was popular with pocketwatches in the 1960s before it made its way into wristwatches. This alternative to using markers on a dial is considered by many as esthetically pleasing.

There are several versions of the A. LANGE & SÖHNE ZEITWERK.

ZEITWERK, ref. 142.031 (pinkgold) and 142.025 (platinum), the ZEITWERK DATE, ref. 148.038 (white gold), or the ZEITWERK MINUTE REPEATER, ref. 147.050F (honeygold), 147.028F (whitegold) and 147.025F (platinum).
